Nedbank, FINALLY, you "get it"!

So this is a LONG story, but worth the telling even if only to show how a few dedicated professionals can make ALL of the difference in the end.

I've banked with Nedbank for a few years and I've had a pretty decent account. I earn good money and work overseas, so I'm fortunate. One would think that would automatically give one a seamless experience - one would be incorrect.

I had a car repossessed 10 years ago by MFC when business went bad for me and what I was told at the time about how the payments would work and what transpired couldn't be more different but in the end, a few years later I app**** for credit et voilà! Declined due to "bad business" with Nedbank. I enquired, turned out there was a balance still due on the repossessed car, something absolutely NO ONE had EVER contacted me about. Nevertheless, I settled that amount the very same day and thought that would be the end of it - it wasn't. Since then, doing business with Nedbank has been nothing but an uphill struggle and every time I need something done, I first have to RESEND this paid up letter, something I have now done no fewer than 8 different occasions.

Eventually, it all adds up and the proverbial fuse blows. I had a rant on social media (the ONLY way that one gets ANYTHING done in South Africa these days) and this lead me to a woman by the name of Merylin Peters, who is a client service manager with Nedbank. Well if only Nedbank had ten more of her, they'd be at the very top of the game - she in turn coordinated with star performer #2 Wandisa Dlamini, along with my new favourite banker star performer #3 Claire Constant at Professional Banking.

These 3 ladies are truly a cut above the rest and have a genuine and sincere desire to be better, do better and work harder and it's because of them that I not only remained with Nedbank, but took up an upgraded account.

I work at sea and this can make banking challenging sometimes, but let me tell you if you're sick of that other lot (and who isn't........), you would do a LOT worse than get in touch with these women, absolutely OUTSTANDING.
