Nedbank false promises and unmandated debit order dates

I am very very unhappy with Nedbank at the moment. I was recently lured into opening a Savvy transactional account, by a very nice and helpful feiendly lady and I had many email communications and questions she answerd before changing my salary to Nedbank.

Firstly she said she would open for me a bundle including transitional account, credit card and overdraft all in one with one very low banking fees and costs of around R200 for everything as I complained about my credit card having excessively hige costs at Nedbank And she also said that if I switch my salary from Capitec Bank to Nedbank and have my MFC account linked to it as well, and use my app twice a month, Nedvank would credit me with R200 pm for doing this. She said this would cover my bank fees.

She opened this account for me around the end of July/beginning of August. I as yet have to see the R200 promised...

My credit card fees still is excessively high. And...

I am now in arrears with my credit card thanks to Nedbank and it will reflect badly on my monthly credit score that I am a late payer with an arrears on my credit card. I used to pay my credit card from my Capitec account. After switching to Nedbank the friendly lady apparently neglected to give me the bundle as promised and my Credit card was not included in this Savvy account. She also neglected to connect my MFC account to my Savvy accou andI still had to pay my credit card from Capitec as well as the debit order for MFC was not switched from Capitec to Nedbank and as such I had to do it myself. I contacted onr of your agents on the apps chat options. The agent helped me to switch my MFC debit order and guided me how to set u the debit mandate for my credit card. She asked me to check if the Credit card debit order details then appeared on the app undee debit orders, and it did and STILL DOES right now!. It was set up to be deducted on the 22nd of each month. As it still shows now on my app. I reated assured that my MFC and Credit card payments would bow be taken care of by Nedbank and the debit orders indicated on the app.

BUT: today to my shock I got an sms as follws:

Payment of your Nedbank Platinum credit card is overdue. An urgent payment of R2380.00 is required to maintain a positive payment record. Reply YES to promise to pay this amount by 05 NOV 2021, or call ***. Please ignore if payment has been made.

It seems that although the debit order was created the money was never transferred from the savvey account to the credit card. And bow because of that I am two months in arrears according to you.

This morning I contacted your chat room again via the app to query this. The agents checked and told me according to their system my credit card debt order was set up for the 3rd of each month. How? Why? ??? And why does it still show 22 on my app. And if it in fact was so that the debit order was set for the 3rd (whic6I NEVER instructed and never even would, since my payment date is 22, then WHY was the payment not taken on the 3rd of October then???? (It should have gone off 22 September in the 1st instance!)

I need (demand) a clear explanation of this please. Do you have 2 systems you operate on? With rwo different debit order dates, and yet, no debit order was done? How are you going to clear my name on this months credit report??

All in all I was lured away from Capitec Bank with whom I had no problems and were very happy with them. Lured away for "much cheaper banking fees all inclusive with credit card and overdraft of the savvey account, and because of R200 that would be given to me each month yo make my banking fees effectively R0. I see on my credit card statement that only the Finance charges is R360., R43 for credit facility, R49 maintenance fee, and that is without interest. And all these deducted on different dates. And now you (nedbank) will grind me with yet more extra costs because YOU did not make the debit order as I mandates and was reating assured yhat it would be covered. So more additional costs will be added for this arrears payments AFTER I INFORMED YOU to deduct from my savvey account on the 22nd..

Your agents today sait they would oorn a ticket to change the debit date from the 3rd to the 22nd. But it is already the 22nd on my app. And as asked before if it really was on the 3rd, who authorised that date because it definitely wasn't me. And of it was the 3rd, why was the order bot paid on the 3rd October?

I need explanations. Really tgis is unacceptable from ine of the biggest banks. I feel to contact the ombudsman. And I am considering cancelling my account and makr my salary deposit to be back to Capitec Bank where everything was going very well, paying off my credit card and closing it and move my vehicle Finance elsewhere.

This R200 that you lure people away from their banks is a trap. A pit of problems and excessively high banking fees.

I want the wotld to know this.
