Nedbank - False advertising and no follow up

I received an SMS on 20 February 2019: "Nedbank: Get the cash you need with another loan of up to R250 000 at interest rates from as low as 10%. Apply today. Reply YES free of charge or STOP to opt out. T&C's apply."

I rep**** "YES" but never received a call from Nedbank.

When I went in to Parktown branch in Johannesburg a few days later, they could not find any loan with a rate anywhere near 10%. We looked at loans between R50 000 up to R250 000 over 12, 24 and 36 months but the lowest rate they had to offer was 20%.

I contacted Nedbank via their Twitter account and after a number of inquiries, a consultant finally contacted me telephonically. I explained the situation to him. He apologised and said that he could not answer my questions adequately and said that he would arrange for another person to phone back.

Nobody has called me. I have tried to follow up on Twitter again and they keep telling me that somebody from the contact center will call me but no calls.

Is this a ****? Or false advertising?

I was in the process of applying for a Nedbank Credit card at the same time so this is very suspicious.
