Nedbank Fails App Design 101
Is there even one dev or private clients call centre operator with empathy at Nedbank? Not if my shocking experience with their banking app is anything to go by. On login, the app mysteriously prompted for my ID No on login. Notwithstanding my reservation, I did so, only then to be asked for my card number and - wait for it - my ATM pin!!! The call centre see nothing wrong with this; after all, they contend ..... I'm on the app. When I remind them of Nedbank's own communications that advises never to give your pin to anyone - ANYONE - I'm met with silence. And the reason for all this? I need to be registered. Or I must have updated the app. How could either of those be valid reasons? For one, if I wasn't registered, how would I have used the app historically? For another, Nedbank gave no warning of their 'registration' requirement. Now my banking hands are tied. Lovely. Oh. Prior to the call above, I had someone on online banking put the phone down on me, such was their irritation at my questions. Shame on Nedbank. (PS for HelloPeter: Please add a minus to your star rating system.)
