Nedbank fail to reverse a debit order

Opened Estate Late Account with Nedbank after my mother passed in 2016. Noticed R4631.68 was deducted from account on 13 February 2017 and a charge of R91.22 on 16th of March 2017. Myself and the other executor of the Estate immediately reported this issue and after many emails to the woman looking after the account who tried to be helpful, eventually in June were asked to sign a dispute form which the executor did immediately. I recently requested proof the dispute form had not gone missing due to very poor feedback and following up consistently from my side with no outcome. After a few weeks of begging for a copy of the dispute form, I eventually received a copy. I have now contacted the Ombudsman and still await Nedbank sorting this out – although the Ombudsman says to give them 20 days from time of contact from them. The reason we put money in the bank is to keep it safe so i don’t understand how a debit order from citibank was authorised without our authority .

Feeling despondent about what used to be 1 of the big 4 in my eyes.

I am blown away at the power of Hello Peter. As promised by Nedbank in their reply, Nicolas called me and within 2 weeks this problem has been rectified.

Thanks Client Experience Team - I personally will not have a long lasting relationship with Nedbank due to this matter but appreciate it being sorted out.
