Nedbank - Exploitation of Covid19 Crisis!

In light of the Covid 19 crisis, Nedbank seemingly were nice enough to send out communication to its customers stating that if they required a payment holiday on any credit that the bank has extended to them, that they should contact their branch or relationship banker. This seems innocent enough until one requests such a relief. You are then informed that it may impact negatively on your credit score/record because it will show that your account has gone into arrears! This is sickening! I am absolutely disgusted by their approach! I have been banking with then for well over 25 years and then this is how one gets treated! I have financed vehicles with them, my bond is with them, my personal and business accounts are with them!

I also have a vehicle financed with ABSA. What a difference! They pro-actively offered payment relief WITHOUT NEGATIVELY affecting my credit record. FNB are doing the same for their customers.

I feel that this matter should be taken to the Banking Ombudsman. Nedbank are clearly exploiting their customers and forcing them into certain decisions.

As far as I am concerned, Nedbank can kiss my ****!!!!!
