Nedbank Doesn't Wanna Close An Account That Belongs To A Struggling Student.

I've opened my nedbank account at Pretoria, Arcadia. On the 3rd of July 2024. I've done a follow up on the 19th of July 2024, only for me to hear that nothing was logged on their system for the cancelation of the greenbacks linkage on my account. I asked the guy who was helping me, to actually close the account for. To my surprise I found out on the 30th of July that my account is still active and now I got furious and took down the reference, name & surname of that consultant. Yesterday the 8th of August 2024. I called again to know the status of my account and my account is still fully active along with the greenbacks linkage. I then got asked to call today, I phoned today the 9th of August. Only for them to answer my call and tell me that it's a holiday they can't help me. However, in order for them to help me, I should confirm that my card is destroyed or returned to the branch. I told the lady that I can't confirm anything as Nedbank took a full month to even try to help me with anything but every month they're expecting to deduct money from that account. The lady couldn't handle the questions I was giving her and told me to call tomorrow as that department is not working as it's a public holiday. Nedbank close my account, I need nothing to do with you ever again. They're also telling me that the account will be closed in 5-7 days, however it's day 7 today and they're telling me that it's a public holiday and they don't count weekends. Knowing that I've tried closing this account since the 19th and no I'm still here going up and down with them as if I have millions in my account. What exactly are they benefiting from my zero balance bank account, is it the R30 greenbacks linkage which no one disclosed to me or the R5 maintenance fees they take every month. This is now boring me, a whole month behind Nedbank as if I'm benefiting something from them. Nooo Nedbank stop your nonsense
