Nedbank does not support loyal customers or small businesses.

<p>A couple of weeks ago I went to Nedbank for a personal loan. After completing the application form I was told that I qualified for R80 000. The application was sent for approval. It was then denied as Nedbank said I was self employed and they did not offer personal loans for self employed. I own one 6th of a close corporation and have been receiving a monthly salary deposited into my Nedbank account with paye and uif being deducted for the last 3 years. Nedbank then told me to rather apply for an overdraft. I completed the application form which was then denied outright as, according to Mic****e Koeberg, manager of small business services (Parow Centre), affordability was not evident at this time. From R80 000 to suddenly nothing. I have been a loyal customer for 10+ years. I have a Nedbank bond. Nedbank does not support loyal customers or small businesses. As soon as I can transfer my bond, I will happily say goodbye to Nedbank.</p>
