Nedbank Decline 3 times for a Homeloan
I've been a client at Nedbank for more than 2 years now and have n account that has been managed very well. My husband and I have app**** for a Nedbank home loan 3 times this year. We had a pre-approval done on the 1st time for a 100% bond and the second time was approved for a 90% bond. On the first occasion, Nedbank declined the application after having a pre-approval done for 100% and the second time requested a 20% deposit as security after having being approved for a 90% bond. We once again app**** in the last week with a 10% deposit and have been declined and the reason being "The application does not satisfy the bank's credit requirements for the loan concerned based on a credit assessment taking into account our usual credit scoring models. · Nedbank considers your income, debt, expenses and even possible interest rate changes when assessing affordability. Based on these factors, you may not be able to support the repayments for the loan amount you app**** for. We therefore cannot approve your application." Our total income exceeds our expenses by far. The monthly rental that we paying for the past 2 years is way below the monthly bond payment we have app**** for. Please can we have clarity from Nedbank regards why they come up with various reasons for a decline after being pre-approved from them. Nedbank is happy to receive our salaries paid into our banks monthly and other business from us but are unable to grant us a homeloan.
