NEDBANK - DECEASED ESTATES - HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE
I am absolutely fed up with Nedbank Bank Deceased Estate's Department !!! I am the appointed agent for a deceased estate which the details of the estate cannot be shared. I submitted all required documents early in July 2023 and have not received a single response. I have sent countless emails and attempted to call the Nedbank deceased estates department countless times and neither of the agents can advice me properly and most of the time the telephone line does not even exist. It is September already and I am pretty sure that nothing has been done. We as executors have to wind up an estate within 6 months (REQUIREMENT BY THE MASTER'S OFFICES).
The delay in winding up the estates is all due to Nedbank not fulfilling its responsibilities with regards to the following: The funds have not been transferred and therefore we cannot pay any of the creditors, while the interest on these accounts accumulate which is detrimental to the estate. Some families are in urgent need of these funds that Nedbank has been keeping so secretively. BE VERY CAREFUL IN WHAT BANKS YOU INVEST/KEEP YOUR MONEY AS SOME OF THESE BANKS DO NOT CARE ABOUT WHAT HAPPENS TO YOUR FUNDS / TO YOUR FAMILY UPON YOUR PASSING.
