Nedbank ******** Debits and Failure to Resolve Complaint

On 31 July 2025, Nedbank ********ly debited R14,657.36 from my account. To this day (19 August 2025), that money has not been refunded. In addition: Nedbank is ********ly holding R8,566.01 against my account. I was charged duplicate R69 “monthly fees” four times in July 2025. On 28 July 2024, R14,000 was also taken ********ly, only refunded after I escalated. I escalated the matter through their official complaints process (***). After 10 days of “stakeholder meetings”, Nedbank’s representative (Scelo Thejane) came back with a response that directly contradicts my bank statements, falsely claiming the 31 July debit was “returned unpaid.” To make matters worse, I personally called their office twice. I was assured via Teams that I would be contacted, but no call ever came. This shows clear bad faith and neglect of duty. At this stage, it is evident that Nedbank’s so-called internal “stakeholder and legal reviews” are nothing but stalling tactics. I will now be filing with the Banking Ombudsman and the National Credit Regulator, and instructing my attorneys to proceed for recovery of funds, damages, and legal costs. Nedbank, I am not asking for favours — I am demanding my rights under the National Credit Act and Consumer Protection Act. This matter could have been resolved in 24 hours. Instead, I have been insulted with dismissive and misleading responses. I urge Nedbank senior management to intervene immediately to: Refund R14,657.36 and R8,566.01, Correct duplicate R69 debits,
