Nedbank Credit Card - Trippled the amount that is due
I am frustrated customer who has an account with Nedbank which is inactive due to the fact that yes, I was unemployed and informed them about being retrenched and all, therefore all of my accounts are in arrears, etc. I received confirmation via ITC about my history and funny/shocking enough I found that my credit card was handed over to the lawyers and that there’s a court matter issued in my name but honestly I am not aware of such and I have not been receiving any calls nor emailed statements of my account or any other sort of communication. The worse part of this complaint is that the amount that I now can afford to settle is triple the actual load/credited money used. Its triple the actual amount from August 2018 till date. It’s triple the amount and here I’m trying to settle what I initially signed up for. It’s not even double the amount but triple. I’m a single parent and really I went through a lot but now that I’m back on feet- I find that no…no I can’t be back on my feet because Nedbank has increased my credit card amount to not double but triple and more the actual amount. My personal loan is okay in terms of settling but my credit card is worse. How possible can that be? OR How can that be? Shouldn't the account be closed, and the person be allowed to pay off the debt instead of being charged every month a finance charge and thereby incurring more and more debt which the individual will never get out of. Can someone please assist.
