Nedbank Credit Card Cancellation almost impossible

I paid off my credit card on the 11/12/2020 & called Nedbank on the 14/12/2020 & requested that the cancel they account. The consultant told me that they would cancel the account in less than 48hrs. Almost 4 days later I am still waiting. Why are they making the processes so difficult?
