NEDBANK CREDIT CARD
<div>As per my previous review. Our issue is, for no apparent reason, with Nedbank Credit Card Division. No apparent reason you should ask, yes. My husband was diagnosed with cancer in March of this year, 2021. His credit card with Nedbank has an insurance policy linked to it. This policy gives you the right to claim if you are diagnosed with a dreaded disease. All will agree cancer is a dreaded disease. The insurance claim was settled once we got to somebody that could assist us, quite quickly. The card was settled.
Apparently the Credit card division has a procedure where after a insurance claim is settled they suspend your account with immediate effect, without notifying you, and then wait for it you need to prove that you are employed before they lift the suspension. This is ************** against people with dreaded diseases. You want to tell me that people with treaded diseases can not afford to have a credit card.? I find this unacceptable and discriminatory. Before they will lift the suspension, not apologized for the suspension, we were informed that this is our procedure and accept it and send us 6 months bank statements and we will review and let you know. On top of this we need to send our personal bank statement to a general e-mail not knowing where it is going to land up and on who' desk to deal with it.
The current drama we are dealing with, my husband' diagnose of cancer the Covid situation in the country and now op top of this we have to deal with something like this! UNACCEPTABLE
For noting purposes - we have not missed any payments on our credit card or home loan we have with Nedbank for the last 12 + years. Even during Covid we did not apply for a payment holiday either.</div>
