Nedbank Complaint.
I used to be an FNB Account Holder for more than twenty years and on the 14 of February 2022 opened an account with Nedbank and as such I switched my salary as well as my debit orders. Fast forward, after the month end of the same month, meaning at the beginning of March 2022 when I wanted to cancel my FNB account it transpired that there was a negative balance of about R-3467. 81.
Immediately I called FNB so as to ascertain as to why do I have a negative balance on my FNB account and I was told that FNB had to pay for the debit orders that were not honored. Then I went to Nedbank York RD Mthatha Branch so as to get answers, there I was assisted by the lady known as Nokubonga and she tried her level best to help me I must say, because she called and engaged many people from Nedbank Head office.
To cut long story short I was told that Nedbank conduct an investigation and I asked as to how long will the investigation take to conclude? I was told it will take two weeks. On the 27 March I have received an sms from Mr Donald Komo in which he confirmed to have received my complaint also telling me that my complaint was currently being investigated with the following complaint reference number: CCM# 5***.
On the 29 April 2022 I have received an email from Mr Donald Komo which reads as follows: "can you kindly confirm if all your debit orders are now going off correctly via your Nedbank account. Kindly accept my sincere apology Sir for the delayed follow-up to your matter" I have responded to his email by saying, yes I can confirm my debit orders are going off now via my Nedbank account. However, I am extremely worried with the fact that you are only giving me feedback on debit orders whereas my complaint is inclusive of the negative balance on my FNB account and my major issue with it, is that it is accumulating monthly fees because I could not close the account in question because of the negative balance. On the 05 May 2022 I have received an email again from Mr Komo asking me to furnish him with the statement of my FNB account which I have already forwarded to him. However he did not acknowledge receipt, subsequently, I made a follow up asking if whether he received my FNB account statement? Again he did not respond. Now we are approaching the month of June without having concluded the matter with all the required information in front of Nedbank. I must put it on record, I regret the day I took a decision to switch my salary from FNB to Nedbank
