Nedbank Clients BEWARE of Unauthorised person viewing your bank account and covering up the investigation
In the month of November 2018, I had contacted Nedbank Risk Reporting to enquire the process to be followed if I had a suspicion of an unauthorised person viewing my bank account. They had emailed me the form and I completed and returned to Nedbank and received a confirmation email of receipt. I followed up in December the progress of their investigation and was told they have lost my application which was sent via email. I then completed another application and attached the original application and forwarded back to them. Due to it being the festive season, I then followed up on the 10 January 2019 and was provided with the investigators details as well as his manager's details. I contacted the manageress for feedback and was told that the investigator is still busy with the investigation, I had also disclosed to her the conflict of interest of the investigator she had assigned to my case and she assured me that I need not worry. I thereafter kept calling to follow up as I did not receive any communication or calls regarding the progress of the investigation., I had tried calling the investigator on many occasions but was never able to get hold of him. I spoke to his manager and asked for him to call me, co -incidentally he called once after speaking to his manager and the call goes to my voicemail informing me that the case is closed as nobody has viewed my bank account. I tried calling him back on several occasions, here again no joy neither did he return any of my calls. I have then taken the matter to higher management whom confirmed that I should get feedback in writing with regards to this case. I was then called by his manager whom I requested the outcome in writing as I do not believe the outcome to be true and correct. I did remind her of my concern of this investigator conflict with my case. The manager informs me that there is no written feedback. If there were no findings in this case then Nedbank should have gladly called me and given me a written response. Today is the 6 May 2019 and I have not received any written confirmation of the outcome or neither did I receive any calls during the investigation with an update. This scenario is rather concerning as to why does Nedbank refuse to give me feedback in writing after a senior manager confirmed that they would give me feedback. Nedbank is very selective when the enforce their Code of Conduct, when it is to their benefit but it seems that they do not practice consistently. It seems that the investigator is protecting someone whom he might have identified viewing my bank account. Nedbank religiously calls me and handed me over to an attorney to collect on funds from an account that I have instructed them to close and they failed to do so.
