Nedbank Client Service

My wife and I am dealing with Nedbank in the matter of her late father's deceased estate. Having had the greater part of his investments, I thought it best to open an estate banking account with Nedbank. What a mistake!!

Firstly, the Deceased Estate Department is inaccessible, and you have to deal with branch (Tyger Valley). Well, it has been 8 weeks before a banking account was opened. Today, 10 weeks later, the Deceased Estate Department has still not finalised wrapping up 5 investment accounts. (In this day-and-age of computerisation).

yesterday we went into the branch to register for online banking. They were offline. This morning, we returned and received our service ticket for the Help Zone. Three service desks available, but only one is in operation. After 30 minutes everybody around us was also starting to complain that this is taking so long and there is no movement. The one person is still busy with the same clients as when we arrived. I enquired at the front desk again and they assured me they will find the other service staff, and my ticket is next in line. Next, on the notice board, my ticket disappears and nobody calls us. My frustration was increasing by the minute because whoever was supposed to call us has now disappeared but our witing time according to their system is not including the 15 minutes we are in limbo. back to the front desk. "Oh, it is supposed to be Annie." "Where is Annie?" "She went to back office." "See whether you can find her." In the meantime, they are calling the next ticket, who politely explains to them that we are actually first and they should assist us. She then also requests them to please not move her from the list, as she wants the system to reflect her exact waiting time. Annie is definitely manipulating the waiting time for her service tickets. When we were finally attended to, almost 90 minutes later, Annie was at her desk attending to anothe client.

Nedbank? Never again!!
