Absolutely Disgusted with Nedbank’s Handling of My Balance Protection Claim

I am extremely disappointed with the way Nedbank has handled my balance protection claim. I submitted my claim well over 7 days ago and was informed that the processing time would be 7 days. However, I have received no feedback whatsoever—no updates on the progress of the claim, no indication of missing information, and no communication from Nedbank at all.

I only found out there was missing information after I called them myself. At no point did anyone from Nedbank attempt to contact me to inform me of this. Yet, they continue to harass me for payments, despite being fully aware that I have been retrenched and that a claim is in process.

This is not only frustrating—it’s unacceptable. I expected better from a financial institution, especially one that promotes support and protection during difficult times. The lack of communication, compassion, and accountability has made an already stressful situation even worse.
