Nedbank ***** - Case No: 2022D9243

Nedbank - Case No: 2022D9243 - *****

Barry van der Walt - Telephone No: *** - I.D. No: *** 082

I had 2 money tranfers taken from my account, one for R5000,00 and one for R4400,00 sent to Thyme Bank without me accepting this with a pin or in any other manner. No Name, or Account Number, Just Thyme Bank.

Also, without a request from me, Nedbank just suddenly gave me a R2500,00 Overdraft. In order to cover these 2 amounts. Now Normally, you have to beg for an Overdraft.

I have been trying for a year now, with numerous calls, going into the bank and writing to: ***, as I was told to do when I reported these monies missing the following day. Speaking to numerous people. Filling out a Nedbank Cardholder Dispute Form. Receiving an email from ***, saying that a Dispute case had been registered and would be given to someone to Review.

No one has ever come back to me. But I have now received a message via my Cell Phone from Attorneys Brooks & Luyt, demanding payment from me in order to avoid Legal Action.

These monies were obviously transferred from someone within Nedbank. That is why I contacted their ***** Department. And now they are trying to make me the *****ster.

I went into the bank. Asked for a Statement. Asked to see where I "Okay'd" this money to be transferred because it obviously was not on my phone. And they would give me nothing. Not proof that I had Okay'd these amounts, not even a copy of my Statement so I could see where it had gone to, or any References whatsoever.

So Nedbank, Please explain where this money disappeared to, and has gone from R9400,00 to R13 789,32. That sure is an enormous amount of money, never mind the money that disappeared, but the Interest, if that's what the extra amount is. If only you would give your customers that amount of Interest on their Savings.

Maybe now I can get to the bottom of this. As going into the bank on numerous occasions, making numerous calls and sending numerous emails and WhatsApp's haven’t helped at all.

I am totally disgusted with Nedbank, their Call Centres, and their so-called Managers.
