Nedbank - careful of what MTN deals you buy from them, you don't always get the data!

I have been buying data regularly through the Nedbank banking app. I have been going through more data than usual lately, so I decided to look for bigger data deals. Nedbank has a Super Data deal for 30GB at R215, which I decided to go for. Normally I buy 1.5GB for R99, so this seemed a good deal. Not long after I got an sms to say that my airtime had been used up. Surprised, I looked at my balance, to find that instead of using the 30GB of data, my airtime had instead been used up, and it was refusing to use the 30GB. I approached MTN about it, and the lady was unfami**** with the Super Data deal and had to look it up. She said it was because this "Super Data" deal was only compatible with the "Super Data" account type, of which they then said I was on the Legacy type (pay-as-you-go). They then said that in actual fact, there are also 3 further account types, the "mtn pulse", "bonus bonanza", and bozza gigs lite". First time I had ever heard of these account types. I mean, pay-as-you-go is buying data/airtime without being under contract. Who knew you get more than just what people expect...? MTN then said that Nedbank make their own deals available, and that MTN have no control over it. Liaising with Nedbank, they refuse to acknowledge that the fault could lie with them, and refuse to refund me. My question in this whose incident, is how is anyone supposed to know what type of pay-as-you-go account you are on? I seriously doubt anyone even knows these exist! At the VERY least, I think Nedbank can at least acknowledge that a disclaimer should exist by the deal that it is only for Super Data accounts. I didn't buy the deal because I made a mistake. I bought it with full intentions of using the data. How was I to know that it wouldn't work? Ultimately I think Nedbank conned me into buying the data by not making me aware that it might not be compatible with all account types. Nedbank refuse to acknowledge any fault on their side, or refund me. Shame on you Nedbank!
