Nedbank cannot stick to their own agreements!!!!
My wife has been out of work for a year and so I have had to carry all household expenses. Due to this I fell behind on my Credit card with Nedbank (AMEX). A few months ago I made an arrangement with them to pay R1000 per month and revise that amount every few months. But after they confirmed that arrangement in writing they debited R1350 from my account before I could make the R1000 payment. When I queried this I was told that if I made regular payments of R1000 then they would not debit my account. Came end of November I made the agreed to payment of R1000. I was lucky enough to get a year-end bonus on the 15th Dec but to my shock and horror R14000 was debited from my cheque account wiping it out completely. When I phoned Nedbank I was told I need to speak to card division, when I phoned card division I was told to speak to legal department. When I phoned legal department I was told to speak to card division. Nobody at Nedbank cares that my children did not have a Christmas due to this. Nobody at Nedbank cares that my debit orders bounced due to this. Nedbank still charged me R120 penalty fee for each returned debit order amounting to R750 which they demanded I pay. DON'T trust.
