Nedbank can withold your money unfairly
Is this a matter for Consumer Protection Agency or Banking Ombudsman when a bank can control your money without your consent?

Nedbank charged me twice for purchasing petrol at a Engen Killarney and now refuses to reverse the additionally charged transaction. The portable machine at the garage used to swipe my card was faulty and belongs to Nedbank. Engen Killarney says that the money is not in their account so they wont refund me. Nedbank then refused to refund my money even though I had produced all the vouchers for the transaction and contacts from the Killarney Engen to verify their account status. I was forced to submit a dispute statement by the bank which promised to resolve the dispute in 45 days. It's now 2 months later and the transaction has still not been reversed. Not one person has contacted me from the bank even though their service personnel has assured me that their service policy requires otherwise.
We note your frustration with the fact that your complaint has still not been resolved. We at Nedbank strive to make great banking happen for our clients. One of our resolution managers will contact you shortly to help resolve your complaint.
Kind regards
Client Experience Team
