Nedbank

I just about had it with Nedbank. I am with Nedbank for more than 10 years. Got good service from them. One current account with 2 cards link to it. But a few months ago it all changed when I did a sim swop. Nedbank immediately suspended EFT on my cards. I understand that we live in South-Africa and ***** is rampant, but they did not even try to find out if the sim swop was legal or not. No communication whatsoever. Can you imagine my disbelief when trying to pay someone a mere R500.00 and it is refused by the bank? In all my time with Nedbank, I receive an SMS when either me or my wife use our cards. Then for some unknown reason, Nedbank decided not to send an SMS when my wife uses her card. It might not sound like a big thing, but is important to me to consolidate my account. I phone the call centre and try to explain the problem, I was transferred to the next one who transfer me to the next. After speaking to Wyde, Lungi, Queen and Diamond, the problem was resolved. But only for about 2 weeks, it was back to not receiving an SMS. Again I called and after about 40 minutes trying to explain my problem with Moghetsi, I was told that the problem was fixed. A couple of days later, the very same thing happened again. Again to the call centre and this time Donald Komo, a Client Services Manager contacted me with the following message:

“We refer to your complaint logged under reference number ***2. Kindly be advised that the technical team has investigated and I can confirm that this was as a result of a system error/bug, the same has been attended to and I can confirm that your cards are activated to receive notifications going forward. Kindly accept my sincere apology sir on behalf of Nedbank for the inconvenience that has been caused by this matter. I have taken note of your complaint and I would loke to assure you that it is never our intention to inconvenience you in anyway as we value your support.”

Now, two weeks later, the very same thing happened again. I am not sure if this is done deliberately so that someone at Nedbank can take money out of my account without me getting a notification.
