Nedbank attempting to force small business to move business account
It is highly disappointing that Nedbank is refusing to consider a home loan application from my husband & I based on the fact that the small business of which I am a director does not hold its business account with them. This despite the following facts: 1. I am not the sole owner/director of the business and it would not be proper for me to make an decision around moving our business account, particularly due to a personal matter. 2. My husband is actually the main applicant on this, the home loan would be in our personal capacity and my company has nothing to do with the payment (not even in regards to surety) of the home loan. 3. Our current home loan which we've had for 6 years is held with Nedbank. 4. I have been a Nedbank client in my personal capacity since 1991, this includes 3 different accounts & credit cards not to mention by extension policies which are held with Old Mutual.
I have had very little to complain about over the years but I find that this sort of mandatory ruling based on no information with an extremely crucial need is unacceptable and definitely worth me making the decision to move all my business of Nedbank as an institution.
