Nedbank are ******

MFC (Nedbank division) financed the purchase of my car some 3 years ago. I listed it on a popular car sale website for sale just two weeks ago and I was approached by a number of interested individuals and dealers. Ultimately, one wanted to buy it and we met. The buyer had to only settle the balance I was owing to MFC and then take the car. I phoned MFC regarding this pending transaction and they gave me a letter of settlement with an amount on. The buyer of the car made payment and then sent them proof of payment which he also fowarded to me. The proof forwarded indicated that payment had been made by EFT. The phoned MFC repeatedly explaining to them that I was doing a private sale and requesting them to let me know the status of my account. All their consultants said the account was paid up, following that I received the PAID UP letter from the bank. I phoned again after receiving the letter to find out if everything was fine. they said everything was fine. I asked if all the phone calls were being recorded and the answer was yes. So i handed over my car to the buyer. Two hours after the car exchanged hands, the buyer asked me if the car had a tracking device in it. That alarmed me, so I phoned the bank again requesting an update on my account. The consultant said that my account was now in arreas with the same amount as the settlement amount because the cheque that was used for payment had not gone through. This was the first time the bank was telling me that payment was made by cheque after repeated calls where I wanted to find out. The car had been taken by the buyer and now the bank is saying I am responsible. As if that was not enough, they then handed my issue to a Claire Schoonraad who was assigned to assist me get all the recordings of my phone calls and also establish how can a PAID UP letter be issued to me when payment had not reflected. Instead of assisting me, this excuse of an official became emmotional and slammed the phone on my ear whilst I was in convesation with her. She then did not pick up my calls when I phoned her. I call her an excuse of an official because she lacks the professionalism you would expect from someone who sits on the chair where she sits. People, please be aware of Nedbank. Their systems are not as strong as other banks. Their employees work hand in hand with ********* and are also unprofessional. If you do business with Nedbank you are exposed to all sorts of ***** and ******** activity because the bank does not have proper systems of control and of accountability. Please take all your transactions to other banks. Nedbank is one bunch of ******.

Passing the buck must be in the manual on how to be a Nedbank employee. The people that demostrate this character the most are then hired. The so called "resolution manager" is actual a conflict creator.
