Nedbank are a *****

As a bound owner with Nedbank we expect to have some sort of security when it comes to the building insurance. I had reported a storm damage to my garage towards the end of Jan 2024. It took then a after my call to make Nedbank understand that the claim is for a rain damage and not a geyser. They had then sent out two assessors. 1 being the a company for a damaged garage motor which was not the case. And a second which was an actual contractor. This process took another week to make understand. I then got a call from Lerato from Nedbank who then said she has to conclude the inspection. She then came to my home and promised the world, one of of which was to contact my own contractor if i wish to utilize my own services. A week later which is now 4 weeks , I received a letter of rejection from Nedbank indicating the below:

1) There are no damages to the property due to a once off storm, hail or wind. 2) The ceiling damages in the garage happened over a period of time. 3) The waterproofing on one side of the pa****t wall has deteriorated and has gaps. 4) These damages are not due to a once off insured event and the roof was repaired before any inspection was done prejudicing Nedbank insurance.

According to the Nedbank service provider who had come out to view the damage stated to me that this was not the report they had submitted to Nedbank. I have requested the report to be sent to me for ease of mind. To date that cannot be shared with me.
