Nedbank and Smith-Smith not keeping to end of the agreement
i had long outstanding debt with Nedbank and contacted them during November 2020 requesting a settlement amount, the amount of R44937.86 was quoted on the 16th November and the full amount quoted was paid by the end of the day and communicated to Esme van Eck. Eversince the payment was done Nedbank refused to update my details on Clearscore and all other platforms but they insist that there is an amount of R11234 to be paid which was updated on the 31 Dec. is a settlement offer when received by a bank not a binding documents and at the end should your name not reflect as paid up and that the account is no longer active, if not that why are these settlements issued and people still being held accountable for the discount that was given to them by the institution. at this rate my credit score will never reflect properly and i will never be able to afford a house. i have communicated this mater twice already with Smith and Smith attorneys to correct but noting seems to be happening. please help i need this account to show fully paid and closed
