Nedbank and MFC have a stuck in the mud attitude

This company's vehicle finance unit (MFC) has placed my family's and my lives at risk by refusing to furnish a copy of the NATIS vehicle registration document for our financed car and a letter permitting us to replace our faulty spare key for our vehicle. It wants a dealer's letter saying the key is needed, depite the dealer not being its client. It wants insurance confirmation because it says it can ask for it. Agreed it can. The car is insured but that is not the point. Why hold us to ********* to provide unrelated documents it never asked for till the documents were requested by us. The documents are being furnished to the client who pays the account, not to any outsider. Is the client going to ***** his/ her own car that makes the giving of the documents and the obtaining of a replacement key a top secret affair? As for the attitude of the MFC staff...that is another matter altogether. Suffice it to say that logic escapes them and each time they create a new requirement. Despite the poor reviews their attitude has not changed and Nedbank supports the poor service of MFC.

Received call in a day or two, yay! There was a promise to investigate although I told the agent it would be a waste of time, since the relevant Nedbank and MFC managers have a stone-age mindset and would not admit their policies make no sense in this case. Never heard from them again. I get better service and understanding from Telkom. Thankfully, at least two associates I know of decided not to use MFC or Nedbank for their personal and business accounts any longer. So, at least people are taking note that one does not have to patronize these kinds of businesses - same as applicable to DSTV, Telkom, etc. who are seeing their values collapse because of poor management and greed. For now, Nedbank and MFC can sneeze at clients complaints and hold them to ransom, but the backlash is coming. Their Boards should take note.

Ok that was a waste of time as i said to your company the first time around...So the best advice I get from your company is I need to go to the Ombudsman to get a copy of the Natis document and the letter for our own vehicle? You are the people who are serious about business , right? Right! Well your business ethics speak for themself.

This is the company's continuous official response to any query regard this matter. I must ask the Ombudsman to ask Nedbank/ MFC to release a copy of our car registration document it holds ..and to ask the Bank to permit us to have a spare key to be made:....................................."Dear JM36 We have noted that feedback was provided to you by the Resolution Manager. Kindly refer the matter to Ombudsman as per the final feedback that was sent. Regards Client Service Support"

The dealer has informed me that Nedbank / MFC is the only bank that gives it's clients continued problems when they seek to make duplicate keys. This takes me back to the original point when I added this item to Hellopeter .... NEDBANK/ MFC IS COMPANY A COMPANY YOU NEVER WANT TO DO BUSINESS WITH...IT'S MANAGERS BELEIVE THEY OWN YOU...AND WILL DELIBERATELY MAKE YOUR LIFE DIFFICULT BECAUSE THEY CAN.
