Nedbank, a failure in checks and balances.

I had to make and international SWIFT payment to a travel agency in Bali, Indonesia on the 16th of May, utilizing the Nedbank Money App. So, on the 27th I received a partial refund from Nedbank. But obviously, about 10% less than I intended transferred, with an additional transaction cost of R 350 on top of the 10% loss and that on top of the previous R350 transfer cost. So, in total I have lost just over R 2000 because of Nedbank incompetency and lack of communication.

So, on the 27th of May I saw the reversed transaction and call the Nedbank global, to investigate why my transaction was reversed. The lady I talked to that she has to escalate and would provide feedback in 1 - 2 days. the following day the lady called back to happily report back that I did not complete a form correctly (apparently, I did no complete the "creditor details" on the still unknown form) ... I rep**** that I used the Money app and apart from the fields you had to complete on the app there is no form or creditor information details to complete. This information threw the lady of guard and then blamed my banker for not informing me within three days that there were information missing from my transfer attempt and I must call the banker, who I do not recall ever talking to about any matter, to work out how we are going to deal with the short funds.

This seems to me that Nedbank has a strategy of dealing with issues: 1. First blame the customer 2. Blame someone in the organization and take no responsibility what so ever. 3. Charge as much as possible for transaction, because they know that, you as a customer will probably close their account after the issue comes to light.

I am still waiting for the call from my "banker" who I have never spoken to resolve the issue.
