Nedbank - A Complete Disgrace

I am utterly infuriated in the total lack Nedbank has in responding to calls, emails and correct processes.

1) At the end of January 2019, I opened a Nedbank Current Account for my small business which I was attempting, under great difficulties, to grow. I had deposited sufficient funds to meet bank charges etc… in early February. 2) To date I have not received any Nedbank bank statements. 3) On the 13th April 2019 and 16th April 2019 Nedbank sent me SMS’s confirming account was overdrawn (no amount supp****). 4) I called Nedbank ( ********** 033) on the 16th April 2019 requesting that I have had no statements for January, February and March and could these please be emailed to me, so that I could do the required deposit ( I need to point out that the agent did not give me the amount due). No Nedbank Bank Statements had been emailed. 5) On the 30th April, 2019 Nedbank email me that I have 10 working days to clear the overdrawn amount, no amount given. 6) I called the only telephone number supp**** ( ********** 033), on the 3rd May 2019 and was told the individual dealing with my matter was unavailable, but that a message will be given to him to call me back. No response. 7) On the 5th May 2019, I rep**** to the 30th April 2019, via email ********** confirming my intent to clear the amount and requesting my bank statements for February, March & April. No response. 8) I again called Nedbank ( ********** 033) on the 14th May 2019 and an Afrikaans speaking lady stated she could not help me but assured me that a message will be given to the individual dealing with my query. No response. 9) Furthermore, I sent an email to ********** requesting bank statements for February, March & April. No response.

However, the worst was still to come. Later on the 14th May 2019, Nedbank sent an SMS stating my account had been closed.

How is it possible, that a client is given 10 working days to clear an amount, but Nedbank closes the account after only 7 working days ??? Working days are days other than weekend days and/or legislated public holidays.

On the 16th May Nedbank sent me an SMS, from which I gather the bank had closed an account due to the amount of R140.30. After all of the attempts I made to clear R140.30 (amount was not known by me) Nedbank has responded by affecting my credit rating.

I expect that Nedbank act as follows.

1) My account be re-activated 2) All requested bank statements be supp**** 3) Explain why 10 working days became 7 working days

It has always been my intention and desire to clear whatever was outstanding, but Nedbank decided otherwise.
