NEDBANK

A couple of year back my Dad and i went to George Mall branch of Nedbank, to arrange for me to have signing power on his accounts. i have not had to use it until recently when i went to get a new ATM card for him . I was advised that there is NO signing power authority on record, and they cannot give me the ATM card, which has now expired, so we cannot draw cash for him . I either have to bring him into the branch himself, he is 91 and almost bedridden, or i have to get a power of attorney, give it to the branch, they will send it to legal department, and if they are happy, they will contact me, and i can come in again (3rd time ) and get the card. The branch is 25 km away , and i have to arrange someone to look after him. this really is crazy because we took the precautions ages ago, only to find it meant nothing at all
