Nebank White River if you want terrible service
We were 2nd in line at the tellers, my father in law bank account was cleaned out the afternoon before and after reporting to ***** etc, we were told to go into the White River branch and fetch the statements for the police case and a new card after all was cancelled. The teller from the get go was listless and not interested in assisting, upon telling her the entire story she said I must go outside to the ATM and pull the statement from there? I asked how as we have no card its been cancelled? Immediately she said well its R75 per page of the statement, we accepted this, very steep but such is life, I am sure Nedbank must try make money somehow as they must be bleeding clients in the droves with the service they provide, she then said she cannot pull a statement as it must update overnight, I asked her I am confused as this occurred yesterday at 15:16 and we have been through an entire night, how is it not updated. She become very arrogant and rude and I then demanded to see the Manager, and her reply was go to last office she is there. I said no please go and call her and bring her here. She refused. So I eventually went and searched for her and told her we needed assistance, she apparently was busy with another client. 3 minutes after i was there, that client left her office and we waited, in this time miraculously the teller could print the statement, and issue the card. I then asked if we could pay for the copies and card please, she said no it will be deducted off the account, and I pointed out to her there is no money in the account as its been cleared out. She said Nedbank does not take payments from foreign banks as standard or FNB, so i said to her the account will be over drawn and then what? she said thats the way they work. As we were leaving the manager came dancing along with the excuse she is so busy, and how she cares etc, but she had no intention of solving the issues and or service problems, as she is one of them. Not a single bank employee is wearing a name badge, they all dressed differently and do not even greet, and when we asked for names we get told it has nothing to do with us, shocked. Its not the banking culture of years gone by we knwo Nedbank for. Nedbank seems to only want to deal with certain ethnicities and not others as you can see in the attitude portrayed in the bank this morning. Its so sad to see a powerhouse of a bank going to these levels.
