NDCRS is trying to collect prescribed Debt.

Nedbank, through NDCRS, is trying to collect prescribed Debt. My father-in-law passed away on the 29th of May 2015 (15yrs ago). All his affairs were wound up, copies of the death certificate were sent to the bank, credit card paid off and all other Nedbank accounts closed and attended to. However, suddenly NDCRS has decided that there is money to be collected - 15ys LATER! And according to the call center agent we must go and stand in the home affairs que to get a copy. (My mother-in-law who has the death certificate, we think, is 81 and lives in an assisted care facility.) Apparently COVID is only a risk to Nedbank staff, not the rest of us. The death certificate was given to the bank, so if a bank employee did not see fit to do their job properly, and you feel that you need to collect this debt, any judgements can be served at Zuurfontein Cemetery - he has had the same address for 15yrs and is not going unaware any time soon.
