Narrow-minded Nedbank- no loans for Self-employed!

<p>My visit today to Nedbank Bryanston was very dissappointing. I was informed by Tumi that even though I have been a loyal customer to Nedbank for over 10 years, have a cheque account, credit card and bond with them, they will not even entertain looking at providing me with a personal loan, even though I have a letter of earnings from my accountant and 3 month bank statements from my primary bank. The simple reason being "I am self employed!" I run a successful medical practice and have done so for the last 12 years. I am shocked by the narrow mindedness of a bank that claims to be so progressive in other areas yet won't even look at the option of granting a loan solely based on the principle that I am self-employed! Wake up Nedbank - there are thousands of entrepeneurs and self-employed people out there, especially in light of our economic climate and many more to come! Luckily there are other banks who are more open minded than you. Dissappointed.</p>
