My credit card I have been paying off for a year remains at the same balance

I contacted Nedbank Credit Card Division myself to tell them that my circumstances had changed and I wished to pay my Mastercard off and not use it again. After a year of paying the R2000 oer month my balance is exactly the same. I have contacted them and they will not offer me a settlement fee. No discussions or explanations just NO. I know all banks are much the same I would urge you never to apply for a Nedbank Credit Card. They are heartless money grabber.
