Must leave Nedbank Home Owners Insurance

You know how BADyour insurance company is when you have laid a claim. With the recent flooding in our area, a section of a gully on the roof and ripped apart, resulting in a massive leak through of roof onto our ceiling. The ceiling board could not hold the weight of the water and gave way. The celling in the lounge came crashing down creating absolute chaos on our household. Luckily nobody was injured. There mud, debris and water everywhere. We have a toddler so we have to get everything cleaned up quickly. The happened on Friday night 11 Nov 2016 at around 20.30. I took will 2am to get everything cleaned.

Now, we have no ceiling in our lounge! It’s creepy and dangerous with more rains coming.

I tried laying the claim with Nedbank the next day only to find the Nedbank Home Owners insurance claims department are DONT WORK ON WEEK-ENDS!

So I got the claim done on Monday after the opened. The service provider could only some to evaluate the damage on Tues 22 Nov. (1 week goes but)

I get an SMS form Nedbank on Monday (28 Nov) stating that the sending another assessor for a second opinion. So I try calling them only get be put through to a consultant in the Life insurance division who explains that because the high volumes of calls all Home owners claim calls get put through to the Life insurance division who cannot help. They need to take a massage!

I cannot speak to a claims person at ALL!!!!! This is now 3 WEEKS LATER!!!!!
