Most pathetic service ever!

So I've recently changed banks and thought that as Nedbank has made such hype about their service and offers and so forth and spent such a lot of money on advertising, surely this would be a "okay" bank to be with. Boy was I ever so wrong. A week and a half later I had to go into the bank myself (Tygervalley branch) to find out if my bank cards had arrived as I did not receive any notification. After standing forever and a day in the line to be helped, it took another hour to get the cards activated. Then the lady didn't even do what I asked her and I had to go back into the bank on Friday past to have my internet and cellphone banking activated. When I got back to the office I logged in to make the necessary payments I had arranged to make but then I got logged out due to a technical error. I called in to their contact center and was told that I have to go back into the bank as they can't do it telephonically. I then went to the branch in Mitchell's Plain and the experience was horrific. Myself, finance and son was in the bank where the armed response guys came in, hand on gun, and went straight for one of the gentlemen that was in the bank. We felt so intimidated and unsafe in the bank and my son told me that he was afraid. Never in my life have I experienced anything like this. After going through all of that and another hour later I was finally assisted but again when I logged it, back out and in again, my account was again locked. I had to go to the bank again yesterday, back to the Tygervalley branch as I work across from Tygervalley. I spent more than my lunch hour in the bank only to get the same error. Today (the 4th day in a row) that I went to Tygervalley branch, I got everything sorted and then got back to the office, logged in and everything worked. This time however got an error message to say my cellphone number isn't activated and I therefore cannot do any payments or anything else on the internet banking app. After 4 visits to the branch and requesting that my cellphone and internet banking be set up, they still failed to assist me fully. When I called the contact center they told me that I need to go into the bank and have them activate my cellphone number as they do not have the mandate to do it on their side. For the life of my I don't understand how one goes into the bank numerous times and still what is requested is not done. We as consumers pay a lot of money and yet we receive pathetic service. And then to make matters worse this lady I spoke to from the contact centre has the nerve to tell me that I need to test it while I'm at the bank. Like I still have time to waste to check if the service consultant that is supposed to do their job has done so. That is not my job. I also provide a service to clients and also know what it feels like to work under pressure therefore there is no excuse for this sort of service. Not even a month with this bank and already I'm having so many issues. Also, when I tried calling Tygervalley branch and after holding for a while to speak to the consultant who helped me I then asked to speak to the branch manager but then the call was dropped. I called back immediately as was then told that the branch manager will be in a meeting all day and was asked if there was anyone else that could assist. I have no more time to waste to be standing in back lines for something that was supposed to be sorted out when I opened my account or at least when i went to activate my cards. I would not recommend anyone to Nedbank and I am planning on moving my account soon.
