More than 100 minutes to open an account!!!

I went to Nedbank Jakaranda on 6 Feb 2017 at 9:10 to partially re-invest a fixed deposit that expired (a small part of it had to be transfered to an account at Capitec bank). Only 1 lady ahead of me in the queue. She wanted to open a transactional account. After an hour and 30 minutes the ONLY available consultant was still busy with this. I enquired how long she wass still going to take, she said another 15-30 minutes! Her words "it always takes long to open a transactional account". Well, perhaps at Nedbank but not at other banks. I will now rather transfer the full amount to Capitec. MY time is worth money to me!

We at Nedbank value you and take your concerns to heart. An investigation will be conducted soon and a resolution manager will be in touch.
Kind regards
Client Experience Team

Thank you,
Nedbank responded very quickly. I was contacted by Nicolas Govender from the "Client experience team" by email and telephonically; as well as by the branch. They apologised, explained their side of the issue, and promised better service in future.
Thank you hellopeter for providing this platform.
Elsa.
