Money deposited into a closed account

My SARS income tax return was paid into a closed Nedbank account but has not been returned or did not bounce back into the SARS account. Instead it is sitting somewhere in Nedbank. I have called the call Centre and they insist that the account is closed and that no money could be paid into that account as it is closed. SARS has sent me a statement of account reflecting that the money has been paid into that account on Monday and has not bounced back. Please give me my money back Nedbank!
