Misleading marketing on the 32 days and Tax-free account and charging fees on stop orders.
I have had my 32 days and tax-free account for many years now with Nedbank. One of the features that compelled me to open the accounts was the free stop order. Over the years I was not charged a stop order fee on my transactional account. When I looked at my statement dated January 2021, a stop order fee was charged on my transactional account. I am upset about it because it is inconsistent with what is on their website and initially sold to me. I decided to phone Nedbank to enquire about the fee, and the agent could not help but rather advised that he will escalate the matter to his line manager and provided me with the reference number ***. He informed me that the issue can only be fixed on the APP, which was further frustrating because I don't want Banking Apps on my phone. The response of the agent was frustrating because I did not make any changes to my portfolio, the error occurred within the Nedbank system without any of my involvement. I have never installed the Nedbank APP on my phone nor used it and have no intentions of installing it for security reasons(********* now asks you to log into your app when they mug you these days when they find a Bank App on your phone). The new internet banking is the worse innovation Nedbank has ever come up with ever, even the agent could not assist in navigating it. I have not received any feedback thus far. This is ********* and against treating customers fairly.
