I have recently entered into a bond agreement with Nedbank and thus far had a pleasant experience until our first payment got deducted without any proper prior notification. The representative at the attorneys explained the deduction dates to me however, omitted to advise that my first payment will be on the 2nd of February 2015, keep in mind that the property registered in our name on 30 January 2015.This was unbudgeted for and forced me to make alternative arrangements at my current property and other creditors. As a first time home owner I expected to be informed of all my obligations and expected thorough definitions of the fine print in the contract. There are two parties involved which is the bank and myself. This agreement should be beneficial to both parties not exploitive and detrimental to the client. In terms of FAIS regulations any t&c's need to be explained to a client who will make an informed decision and in this case that was clearly not exercised. Treating clients fairly was clearly not app**** to me and now this has become vexatious in nature and labour intensive with all the calls and emails I have made. I trust I will have a favourable response to this matter
