MFC- Unwilling to assist on car-repayment calaculation

To whom it may concern

I contacted MFC Vehicle finance to request assistance in re-calculating my car instalment. I informed them that I was placed on partial disability with my Employer and my salary was cut to 75% They then requested certain documentation which I comp**** to. I then received a call from the Collections Department which baffled me as I was told if you seek assistance your account will be with Collections (however my monthly debit order is under no uncertain terms defaulted- the account is in good standing) The Consultant advised I had to re-request my request in writing and the only way Nedbank will assist is by reducing my instalment to 50% for 6 months thereafter I will have to contact the Bank again to make payment arrangements for the shortfalls. I informed the Consultant I am only seeking maybe a R500 off from my current instalment and she advised the same process will apply for only 6 months. so my question to Nedbank MFC is: How are you assisting me in any way by making such an arrangement as a Valued client I would expect you to meet me halfway as I have indicated a change in my financial circumstances. Logically I would not be able to afford the shortfalls after 6 months as I would still be on partial salary. So the only option you are providing me with is to the sell the vehicle and I still maintain a good credit record. But you are very eager to respond to my request for the settlement balance.

I am EXTREMELY disappointed that this how good payers get treated.

thanks C. Ramadien
