MFC Nedbank unauthorized debit orders and poor service

During lockdown im 2020 I made arrangements with MFC Nedbank not to pay my car installments for 3 months, as I wasn't receiving salary, only UIF. They agreed to it. 1 month before I was supposed to start working my employer informed us that our school would only open up in 2 months which I then spoke to MFC Nedbank telephonically again, made the arrangements and they approved it. My normal installment went off end of July, as arranged. August MFC Nedbank phoned me asking for the one month installment that was outstanding. I informed them that I spoke tp them and made arrangements where as they approved it. The lady said no notes were made on their system, however, that they had people working there that were assisting and they didn't always make notes. I was asked to email through the letters from my employer stating that we only received UIF for that period as well as my payslips, which I did. They rep**** to the email saying no attachments were added. I rep**** again, attaching the documents, no reply from them again.

Every month I received sms's stating that I need to pay the 1 month outstanding installment.

I received phone calls from other consultants, where I explained again again and again. Different email addresses were given to me, I sent the documents through to them as well.

In January they tried to take debit orders off on 3 occasions, where where it didn't go off. At the end of February a debit order went of when my salary was just paid in and I didn't give permission for it. I went to reverse it. O asked to block that debit order and the bank informed me that they can't do it, I need MFC Nedbank to stop it. MFC sent me an email asking for my letters, payslips for December, January and February to prove that I couldn't pay it. I rep**** asking how this is applicable to lockdown, no reply to my email. March and April debit orders for it went off again, which I went to reverse as I couldn't do it on my app. I spoke to consultants again on numerous occasions, explaining everything. At times the phone call was hung up. I was informed that the matter is being escalated and a manager will phone me, np such phone call has taken place as yet.

Yesterday someone from collections phoned me. They wanted to confirm my details, but asked way more details than normal. When I asked the lady why all these questions and what it's about she very rudely told me that she'll only answer any questions I have once I answer her questions. I told her that I'm not continuing with the questions and that I'd like to speak to her manager, which I wasn't assisted with.

I am very unhappy. The debit orders has affected my credit record. The communication from MFC's side is very poor. From August 2020, up to May 2021, which is 9 months, they have done nothing to assist me, only costing me time, money, effort and a lot of stress.

I am going to lodge a complaint with the Ombudsman, seeing as that is my only option.

I am a very unhappy client.
