Loss of insurance cover

We had 2 bonds with Nedbank, and 4 policies to cover the bonds. (2 for N. Moodley 2 for J. Moodley) 3 policies were ceded to Nedbank and paid with the bond instalment. 1 policy for J. Moodley was paid from FNB which lapsed when I closed the account. My husband died on 1 July 2006. I claimed for the insurance to pay out the bond. Nedbank claimed from Old Mutual an amount of R28000.00, and said that there is a balance that I must pay. The total of the 2 policies were R68000.00. Bond bal. was R 50000. Upon query Old Mutual stated that 1 policy was made paid up in 2000 and the other policy lapsed due to none payment from FNB. Only 1 policy was paid from FNB . 3 were paid to Nedbank with the bond instalment. I have spoken to many people at Nedbank. I wrote to Ombudsman but all are giving me the same answer. All I am asking Nedbank what happened to the premiums that I paid to Nedbank with my bond acc. and why wasn't it paid to Old Mutual? This matter is dragging on since July 2006. I really don't know what to do next. I hope that reporting it on Hello Peter would help.
