Loan sharks

I have a Loan with Nedbank, so what happened was last year i lost my job and reported that to the loan insurer. The offered to pay only 12 months incase i find a job. So this year they stopped and requested me to carry on with my payment. I told them my situation has never changed. And they said the insurer wont carry on paying, so my surprise is why should i pay insurance which cant help me during this times and even during Covid they failed to cover me.
