loan repayments deducted twice every week

I write this complaint on behalf of a friend and client...<br> <br> Since December 2014 his personal loan installments which gets paid weekly have been double deducted. Almost every single week! Every time it happens he goes into the branch who we now know cannot help and requests assistance and reversal of the double deduction. This is 6 months later. The branch manager does not even bother to reply to emails requesting help. The call centre is an absolute nightmare - going through at least 6 persons explaining the whole story and they cannot help. No statements were ever sent to him and then he is told he is in arrears, how if the bank calculates the repayment and deducts accordingly?<br> <br> The loans assistant at the branch has checked the contract and has assured us they are not entitled to double deduct, yet they keep on. During the week Nedbank head office called twice to assure him it is now sorted and will not happen again. This morning it was double deducted! <br> <br> This is an absolute joke! How can the bank do this?and keep on for 6 months! How is he supposed to live and pay his debts if the bank takes his money all the time?
