Loan paid to who?

I app**** for a consolidation of debt through Nedbank which did not happen as I couldn't provide the statements they wanted. FNB, my primary bank, offered me debt consolidation so I took it. FNB paid out on 17/09 and suddenly, Nedbank decided to approve my loan. Nedbank paid out on the 19th but now who did they pay out to if FNB had already taken care of it? I spoke to FNB and they did indeed pay earlier but despite my emails to Nedbank no one has come back to me with a response. I'm not paying for a loan that didn't pay out so please can someone tell me what is going on?
