Loan Contract Breach - Unauthorised Early Debit
#CustomerCare#SmallBusiness/ProfessionalBanker#Collectios#LoanDepartment#ComplaintDepartment
I'm a very angry Nedbank customer who has been left stranded because of an early unnotified loan deduction.
Due to the complexities of January month and return to office commitments I used all available funds. Then came a late work order from my company to some work in Mpumalanga (Emalahleni). I only accept this order based on the approval of Nedbank Overdraft. Then I requested an Overdraft Increase last week Friday (17/2/22). The overdraft was approved and I embarked on a journey to Emalahleni Wednesday after signing the contract Tuesday afternoon (22/2/22). I used the money to book my first night at Sun1 and leave some for petrol the next day. The next morning I tried to use the card at the filling station. I got an error message of "Limit Reached" I couldn't understand therefore I left. After work I checked my balance on the App, money Gone. Nedbank has withdrawn the personal loan today 24th Feb 2022, this is not what was signed for in the contract with nedbank.
I started calling #CustomerCare. The lady couldn't help, so she transferred me to #SmallBusiness/ProfessionalBanking. #SmallBusiness/ProfessionalBanking told me my debit date is 24th of every month according to the system. I stated my case but couldn't resolve it, he said all he could offer as solutions is to change the date on the system for following months. I told him I need the money now or I'll sleep on the street because I needed that money to go home. Then he transferred me to #collections.
#Collection couldn't help, but i asked her if my debit is on the 24th and my payday is on the 25th, what they try to debit on the 24th and don't find any funds. She said I will be penalised financially by the bank for honoring the contract but the bank changed the repayment date without informing me. Then she transferred me to the #LoanDepartment.
#LoanDepartment told me the system repayment date is 24th, he argued that my salary is not 25th of every month as history suggests. I told him to open the contract I signed, and it was there in #Black&White that the repayment date is 25th which is my salary date. He didn't want to listen to me and my requests, the argument got heated because I was stuck far from home with no money. He then rudely transferred me to #ComplaintsDepartment.
#ComplaintDepartment requested information for my complaint. She said she will call me and resolve this issue before close of business 24/02/22. No one called me and no follow up was done. She took my frustration and anger for granted and **** to me over the phone, this made me extremely angry.
This information above will be shared on social media, hello peter & ombudsman by 9am tomorrow morning. The disrespect from Nedbank, so called professional banking. This call was my airtime 1 hr 5min
