Let down by promises of a modern banking experience.
Dear Nedbank, I've never had to write a breakup letter before the relationship started, until today. You allowed me to apply for and open a PayAsYouGo bank account online (with verification with the DOHA), creating the impression I'd never have to visit a branch. Stupidly, I trusted you, and did an EFT transfer to the new account when you SMSed me the account number. Today I learned that I have to visit a branch to activate the account before I can spend my own money. What's the point!? One of the reasons I considered your service was because my bank's app was offline regularly when I needed to use it. And today you followed suite, with an 8 hour outage. I'm sorry, but I think we're done. It's not you, it's me. I expected more from this relationship.
