Inept service on recall request
On the 9 June 2021, I made a an eft payment for a dishwasher to an online store, within a two hour period I realized that the online store was **********. I sent a recalls application form to Nedbank, as I could not reverse the transaction via online banking (I used the chat app to speak to a consultant whom advised me to use complete the recall application form). I was upset when completing the form and made an error on the form, it took Nedbank four working days to get back to me that they could not process the form as there was a error on the form. I then immediately updated the form and resent the form. Now two working days later I am told that the bank could not recall the eft I made due the insufficient funds in the recipients bank account. They have provided me with the cell number for the recipient and of course the recipient is not answering. I did the recall form on the day I realized that I made an error, as I wanted immediate action, the next day I called the call center and was told that there is no dedicated recalls department and the SLA for recalls is 7 working days (which is on the form). My understanding was that I would receive feedback in 7 working days, not that my recall request would be actioned seven days later. I am so disgusted by Nedbank's lack of action in this regard and now I am unable to recover my money. If Nedbank had actioned my recall request on the day they received it , the transaction would have have been reversed within a 24 hour period.
